I was nervous about a matte lipstick feeling dry, but this one genuinely feels plush and soft on—like actual velvet. The dimensional sheen keeps it from looking flat, and that one-swipe saturation means I'm not layering it on all day.
The color payoff is unreal—one swipe and my lips look like I dipped them in crushed velvet, that soft dimensional sheen is exactly as described. It's somehow plush and matte at the same time, which I didn't think was possible.
The matte finish really does mimic velvet—it’s soft and plush on the lips, not drying at all, and the dimensional sheen gives it a subtle life. I’ve worn it through coffee and lunch and it held up beautifully, which is more than I can say for most lipsticks I’ve tried.
